♡ When NOT to Yoni Steam
Essential Oils: Do not use essential oils in your steam; they are too potent and can burn delicate tissues.
IUDs: If you have an IUD, yoni steaming can cause it to shift or dislodge. Limit steaming to no more than 10 minutes if you choose to proceed.
Genital Piercings: Remove any genital piercings before steaming as the metal can heat up and burn you.
Pregnancy: Do not steam if you are pregnant or suspect you might be.
Trying to Conceive: Avoid steaming past ovulation (day 14-16 of your cycle) to prevent washing out sperm or causing early miscarriage.
Heavy Menstrual Bleeding: Do not steam if you experience extremely heavy menstrual bleeding or have had two periods in one month recently.
During Menstruation: Avoid steaming during menstruation or if there is any spotting or fresh blood.
